Description:
Evergreen
shrub with arching branches and glossy dark green leaves. Clusters of pendant,
long tubular, bright cerise-pink flowers in early summer.
Cultivation:
Needs
a sheltered, warm location with some protection from cold winds and hard
frosts, as although frost hardy it may not survive long periods of very low
temperatures. A position against a warm
sunny wall would be ideal.
If
required, lightly prune back shoots after flowering.
Propagation:
By
greenwood cuttings in early summer or semi-ripe cuttings in late summer.
